Although mum does not have any signs of dementia she is finding the Easy Read Clock very helpful as it constantly reminds her what day of the week it is, and the date and the time. My Mum has dementia and was forever asking me what day is it, what time is it, etc... this seems to have stopped now and the clock clearly alerts Mum to whather it is morning, afternoon, evening or nightime. As a bedside device it helps orient Mum without needing to ask, which used to embarass Mum. It is very bright and perhaps could do with a nightime dimming function. (However I better look into this as perhaps this is already a feature of the clock.)

I like the size of the clock. It has a large screen but it doesn’t take up too much space. What l particularly like is how clear and bright the screen is. It is easy to read from some distance away. The brightness can also be altered between day and night. Highly recommended.

Coupled with the responsibility of caring for an aged parent 24 hours a day, I would wake up some days just not knowing what the day and date was. I then saw this clock advertised in the innovations Brochure and even though I thought it was a little on the expensive side, I could see this would solve my problem. It has certainly done that and now I know just what the date and time is. It is very easy to set up - you take it out of the box and plug it in - that’s it! I can certainly recommend it.

It is large enough to read easily without looking like an oversized item. Alarms are good but are a hard piercing noise that was almost frightening.
